SUB:  Time Table for Annual Examination of Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery August 2012.

All the Principals of the Schools of Nursing are informed that the Annual Examination of  Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery for the academic year 2011-2012 will be held as follows:

The following instructions are issued for the conducting of the Annual Examination                    August 2012. 1. The Faculty List of each Nursing School should be submitted along with the Exam  applications of the students in the prescribed proforma 2.  The Time Table should be exhibited in the Notice Board of all the Nursing Schools well in time   for the information of the students.    3.  The specimen copies of the application forms and Internal Assessment & Practical Score  Sheets may be down loaded from the Website No. www.ksdneb.org or www.ksdneb.net.  The  specified application form should only be used for each year of examination separately.  4.  i) As per the SYLLABUS of GNM course, if a student fails in one Theory or Practical paper of  1 st  year he /she may proceed to 2 nd  year.  He / she shall appear for the supplementary  examination held subsequently in the failed Theory or Practical paper.  If he / she fails to clear  in the supplementary examination he / she shall be allowed to appear again along with the 2 nd year examination.  ii)  A student may be allowed to proceed to 3 rd  year, if he / she has passed all the papers  including the practical of the 1 st  year.   iii)  If a student fails in one Theory paper / practical of the 2 nd  year may proceed to the 3 rd  year  and he / she may appear for the supplementary examination for the 2 nd  year failed paper /  practical.  If he / she fails in the supplementary examination he / she may be allowed to  appear again in the annual examination along with the 3 rd  year examination.  iv)  The 2 nd  year student who has passed the 1 st  year papers during February 2012 is eligible  to sit for the 3 rd  year examination during February 2013 examination subject to the  fulfillment of the other conditions laid down in the INC syllabus B- eligibility for admission to  examination.  Hence, the applications should be properly scrutinized and the applications of eligible students  should only be sent.    5.  The Examination fee collected from the students should be consolidated and a common  Demand Draft drawn in Favour of the  Medical Superintendent and Deputy Chairman,  KSDNEB, Bangalore payable at Bangalore and sent to the Board along with the examination  applications on or before 10-05-2012.  The Principal should send all the applications at a time.   The individual applications from the students are not entertained.  The applications will not be  received after 10-05-2012.    The applications of 1 st  year, 2 nd  year & 3 rd  year fresh candidates should be submitted on or  before 10-05-2012 along with the applications of the repeaters those who have not applied for  the February 2012 Re-valuation.  The exam application of the repeaters who have applied for Re-valuation should submitted on  or before 25-05-2012.  6.  For the 1 st  year GNM students who are appearing for August 2012 examination are to be  provided with I.D. card and also new Register Numbers.  Therefore the particulars are to be  furnished in the enclosed proforma along with the following documents.    a.  The exam application form duly signed by the student and the Principal  b.  Two latest photos of the students taken in white uniform duly attested by the Principal,  the name of the student should be written on the reverse side of the photos  c.  One attested copy of SSLC/ X  th  & PUC 12 th   marks card   d.  The attested copy of the migration certificate if any  e.  Examination fees at Rs.600/-per student X No. of Students admitted for the 1 st  year  GNM (Freshers including fee for I.D. card)  f.  It may please be noted that in case of any admission of the students is pending for  approval by the KSNC, then the application of such students should not be sent to the  Board.  g.  Copy of the receipt of the Annual Renewal Fees paid for the year 2012.  If the receipt is  not received, furnish the particulars of  DD in which renewal fees was paid   h.  E-mail I.D. of the Institution.   If any of these documents are not produced the application will not be accepted.

7.  The Uniform photos of the students should be affixed at the space provided in the application  form of all the three years.   If the uniform photos are not affixed in the applications such  applications will be strictly rejected.  8.  The Principal should personally verify the photos of the students affixed in the application  forms and confirm that there is no change in photos affixed in the application forms of    August  2012 and photo affixed in the applications of the previous examinations and in the marks  cards.  If there are any changes of the photos, action will be taken against the concerned  Principal.                  9.  All the Principals are informed to issue Badge to all the students for their Identity and they are  directed to wear the same during the examination, and also the students and faculty members  should be directed to wear white uniform during the examination.  The faculty members should  also wear the identity card during the examination duty without fail.   10. If any students have been transferred from one Institution to another, a copy of the permission  letter issued from the DME should be enclosed in respect of the students admitted under  Government quota and students selected by Social Welfare Department.  And in respect of  students admitted in Management quota permission of the KSNC should be produced.  11. For academic clarification the Principal or Senior Nursing Tutors should only come to the  Examination Board.  12. The Internal assessment marks for each Theory paper is 25 marks.  The students should  score a minimum of 13 marks to pass.  Similarly the Internal Assessment marks for Practical is  50 marks. The students should score a minimum of 25 marks to pass.  The exam applications  of the students those who have not scored the minimum marks in Internal Assessment should  not be sent to the Board.  Internal Assessment Score Sheets for Theory and Practicals for  all the 1 st , 2 nd  & 3 rd  year students should be submitted on or before 15-06-2012.  Please  Note that the Hall Tickets will be prepared only after the receipt of Internal Assessment  Marks. 13. No due certificates should be obtained from the concerned Hospital authorities for having  availed the clinical facilities and a copy of the same may be sent to the Board.    14. The Principals / Tutors /  Senior Tutors whose names are given in the faculty list should be  retained in the concerned schools till the results of the Annual examination is announced since  their services are required for Evaluation work and other examination work.  Whenever the  Board calls the faculty members for Evaluation work, they should attend the Evaluation work,  failing which the results of the concerned schools will not be announced.  15.  The Hall Tickets may be downloaded from the website from 04-07-2012 onwards as detailed  here under    Sl.
