Time Table for Annual Examination of Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery August 2011.


All the Principals of the Schools of Nursing  are informed that the Annual Examination of Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery for the academic year 2010-2011 will be held as follows:

The following instructions are issued in connection with the conducting of the  Annual Examination August 2011.

1.  The Time Table should be exhibited in the Notice Board of all the Nursing Schools well in time 
for the information of the students.   
2.  The Examination Application forms may be downloaded from the Website www.ksdneb.org www.ksdneb.net 
3.  1st year  GNM students (freshers) who are appearing for the August 2011 examination are to be provided with Identification card and also New Register Numbers.  Therefore their applications for August 2011 examination should be submitted on or before 30-04-2011 positively. The Particulars of the students appearing  for the exam should be sent in the  enclosed proforma – I along with the following documents. 
a. The exam application form duly signed by the student and the Principal 
b. Two latest photos of the students taken in white uniform duly attested by the Principal, 
the name of the student should be written on the reverse side of the photos 
c. One attested copy of SSLC/ X th & PUC 12th  marks card  
d. The attested copy of the migration certificate if any 
e. Examination fees at Rs.600/-per student X No. of Students admitted for the 1st
 year GNM (Freshers including fee for I.D. card) 
f. It may please be noted that in case of  any admission of the students is pending for 
approval by the KSNC, then the application of such students should not be sent to the 
Board. 
4. Examination Fees: 
The Examination fees should be paid to the Board through Demand Draft drawn in any Nationalized Bank in favour of the  Medical Superintendent and Deputy Chairman, KSDNEB, payable at BANGALORE only.  The address seal of the institution should be affixed compulsorily on the back side of the DD.  The fees collected from the students should be consolidated and a common Demand Draft drawn and sent along with the application.  The individual DD and applications may be avoided. 
 Last Date for submission applications
 1)  1st year Fresh students   30-04-2011  
2)  2nd year, 3rd year & repeaters  20-05-2011 
Please note that the Examination applications will not be accepted after the last date for the submission.
5.  If any students have been transferred from one institution to another, a copy of the permission  letter issued from KSNC/ DME should be enclosed to the application. 
6.  While submitting the application forms for August 2011 examination, the Principal should personally verify whether the photos of the  students affixed on the applications are genuine one or not and also confirm that the photos  affixed on the applications of the previous examinations are one and the same.  If there are any changes of the photos of the applications of the August 2011 and the photos affixed on the application of the previous examinations and Marks Cards, action will be taken against the concerned principal and the student will not be permitted to appear for the examination. 
7.  For any academic clarification, the Principals or the senior tutors should only visit the Board.  
8.  The Hall tickets and Identity Cards will be issued on 07-07-2011 to outside Bangalore Institutions & on 08-07-2011 to Bangalore Institutions. 
9.  Internal assessment marks of Theory and Practicals should be submitted to the Board while receiving the Hall tickets.  It may also please be noted that the Applications of failed students in the Internal Assessments (Those students who got less than 13 Marks in each Theory paper and 25 marks in Practicals) should not be forwarded or recommended for the examination.   The internal Assessment Marks should be awarded only according to the performance of the students and not at random.
10. The Hall tickets will be issued only to the eligible students after the scrutiny of the Applications.   The fee paid for the Non-Eligible Candidates will not be refunded. 
11. No due certificates should be obtained from the concerned Hospital authorities for availing the  Clinical facilities and the same may be sent to the Board.  The attendance certificates of all the  students for attending Clinical in the concerned Hospital should also be sent to the Board,  failing which the concerned students will not be permitted to appear for the Examination. 
12.  (a) All the Principals should note that the GNM students of 2 nd  year are eligible for 3 rd  year,  only after passing all the papers of 1 st  year GNM Examination.   The 2 nd  year students, who  have completed the 1 st  year examination during February 2011, are eligible for 3 rd  year  examination only during February 2012 subject to  the fulfillment of the other conditions laid  down in the INC Syllabus “– B – Eligibility for admission to Examination”.  (b)  The students should be directed to wear the white uniform and Identity Card issued by the          Examination Board during the examination.
